2022. HipHop; Released on the sixth anniversary of his death, Phife Dawg's Forever features artists like his bandmate Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Maseo, Illa J, Dwele, Little Brother, and more. Before his death, Phife had spent the better part of a decade recording tracks for his second album, and about two-thirds of it was finished when DJ Rasta Root stepped in to complete it. He notes, "Down to the mix engineer [Bob Power], the photographers, everybody involved had some connection with Phife." Limited to 1000 copies, the VMP exclusive version of Phife Dawg's Forever is pressed on Gold Nugget vinyl at GZ Vinyl. The 2LPs will arrive in a gatefold, direct-to-board, foil-stamped and numbered jacket.
